Cohen & Gresser is pleased to
announce the opening of its fourth office in
Washington, D.C. The Washington office will be led by
partner Melissa
H Maxman, and will handle a range of commercial litigation
and regulatory
enforcement matters, with a focus on U.S. antitrust issues,
criminal and
civil litigation, and compliance and regulatory disputes in
the federal
agencies.
Melissa has decades of litigation experience at both the trial and
appellate
levels, primarily in the areas of antitrust, RICO, environmental
law,
complex commercial disputes, and white collar defense. She has
extensive
experience advising domestic and foreign corporations on global
antitrust
issues, and has represented clients in complex civil and criminal
matters
before the Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the
Department of Justice, and in private civil matters. Prior to joining
Cohen
& Gresser, Melissa was the Chair of the Antitrust and Trade
Regulation
practice group in the Washington, D.C. offices of two large national law firms.
She is
licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, the State of
Maryland, and the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
"I am proud to be opening the D.C. office of
Cohen & Gresser. The firm's international client base
requires
regulatory and antitrust expertise in the nation's capital, which our
office will provide.
But it is the high quality of the attorneys, and
the firm's commitment to providing excellent service
to clients, that
ultimately made C&G so attractive to my clients and me," said
Maxman.
Lawrence T Gresser, managing partner of Cohen &
Gresser, said:
"We are very happy to be opening our fourth office, and
even happier to be opening it with Melissa
Maxman, one of the leading
antitrust lawyers in the country. We have known and worked with
Melissa for
years, and we know that she shares our core values of excellence,
integrity, and client
service."
