DAVID ALBAGLI AS A LOCAL PARTNER IN TOKYO
Tokyo, April 18, 2016 …Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today the arrival of David
Albagli, Ph.D. as a Local Partner in the Firm’s GlobalIntellectual Property (IP) Practice. Dr. Albagli
will be based in Tokyo.
Dr. Albagli brings to White & Case extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of IP matters
spanning patent litigation, prosecution, opinion workand patent portfolio strategy development as well
as pre-litigation counseling and due diligence investigations. He also advises on IP-related transactional
matters. He has significant hands-on experience as a patent attorney. His work on IP matters focuses on
pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, and includeschemicals, polymers, medical devices, and
semiconductors. Dr. Albagli is also an experienced scientist with expertise in a wide range of fields,
particularlyin nucleic acid technologies, chemical synthesis, electrochemistry, microfluidics, polymers,
and biochemistry.

Dr. Albagli graduated from Princeton University, and received his PhD from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and his JD from the University ofCalifornia Hastings. He is qualified to practice
in California and at the US Patent and Trademark Office. He is a Registered Foreign Attorney in Japan
(Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi) and a member of the Daiichi Tokyo Bar Association.
