About Us

IHCF membership is composed of regular members, full members, associate members, VIP members, honorary members, and institutional members. The membership process shall be determined by the resolution of the board of directors.

Full member : A full member is a person who is a qualified Korean or international attorney who meets the following qualifications:

1) Engages in legal practice or corporate affairs as an employee at a private or public corporation

2) A lawyer with a level higher than an instructor who teaches or does research on law and related subject at a

university or an educational institution similar to university

3) A lawyer engaged in corporate legal work and research at a national, public, or private institutions or research entities

4) A civil officer engaged in legal work or other public interest work

5) Others whom the board of directors deems qualified for full membership.

Associate member : An associate member is a full member whose membership has become invalid due to reasons other than those stated in Article 9 of the articles of association*.

However, in principle, the qualification as an associate member will only be valid up to 3-year period, taking into consideration the period during which the member has participated as a full member.

After the abovementioned period expires, the board of directors can continue to grant associate membership, considering the member’s activity and contribution as a member.

*Article 9 of the Articles of Association (Expulsion of member): In any of the following cases, a member may be expelled by a resolution of the board of directors:

1) When a member violated articles of association, other regulations, or disturbs order;

2) When a member has not paid the membership fees for 3 years consecutively;

3) When a member defames IHCF or fails to maintain its dignity as a member; or

4) When a member neglects his or her duties, such as continually not participating in IHCF’s events.

Honorary member : An honorary member is a person who has contributed to IHCF and is appointed by the board of directors after voting.

Institutional member : An institutional member is a company or a businessperson in legal work, and the membership is granted based on the voting results of the board of directors.

Please check the qualifications above and apply for membership. Your membership process is completed when the administrator approves your membership application.

(If you are currently working in a law firm or do not belong to any organization, your membership application will be rejected.)

 

· After completing payment for annual membership fee of KRW 150,000, you can access “Job Posting” page and

“Thomson Reuters Benefits” page. If it has been less than 3 years since you received your license, the membership fee is

KRW 100,000.

· Membership year: December 1 – November 30 (e.g. Membership fees for year 2018 would cover from

December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018.

· How to pay: You can pay with your credit card or transfer fees to Woori Bank, account number 1006-501-347969,

account holder: In-House Counsel Forum.
