The 17th DLA Piper Seminar Series
Title: “How to Win Your Most Difficult Cases: Real Disputes, Real Lessons”
Description: Inevitably you will confront a tough, high stakes case, where you have challenging facts or challenging law, or both. How do you position your case and maximize your chances of a “win”? We will discuss such topics as grabbing the “white hat,” finding the compelling themes to tie together your case; thinking “outside the box;” finding your adversary’s weaknesses to change the momentum of the case; using discovery as a weapon or dealing with it as your Achilles’ heel; reducing your million document case to 100 “hot” documents; mastering the special challenges of presenting Korean witnesses in a US courtroom; “taking the bullet” for the client; maintaining credibility with the decision-maker; and using technology to bring your case to life.
