White & Case International Trade Partner Brendan McGivern will
make a presentation on “Trump and Brexit: How the Changing
Rules of International Trade will Affect Korean Companies”.
The presentation will discuss how President Trump’s “America First”
trade policy will affect Korea, including the possible renegotiation
of the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement
(KORUS). In addition, he will address how Brexit may affect
Korean export interests in the UK and the EU.
After his presentation there will be a general discussion of
these key developments and what they mean for Korean
companies.
Brendan, who is based in Geneva, heads the World Trade
Organization (WTO) practice of White & Case.
He is a former senior legal advisor to the Canadian Permanent
Mission to the WTO. He has been involved in WTO and other
international trade law issues since 1993.
