CAS
sent more than 20 international arbitrators to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in
Rio de Janeiro. The "CAS ad hoc Division" and the "CAS Anti-doping Division"
decided on 34 cases, ensuring that legal disputes could be resolved quickly. In
its work CAS also has to deal with a lack of experience in disciplinary bodies
as well as administrative deficiencies in many national and international
sporting organizations.
