제 11회 DLA Piper Seminar Series 를 준비 했습니다.

3월 11 (수)일과 12일 (목), 이틀간 (저녁 7시 ~ 9시),  IP 관련 세미나를 진행합니다.  미국 특허소송의 game changer가 된 post-grant challenges와 요즘 hot issue가 되고 있는 trade secret 관련 최근의 추세와 전략에 대해 강의합니다.

CLE credit은 2시간 신청 예정입니다. 

(DLA Piper applies for CLE in the following states: Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Virginia.  Participants holding licenses outside of these states may use their Certificate of Attendance to apply for CLE credit individually through the appropriate state bar).

1. Post-Grant Patent Challenges: Lessons and Strategies from the First Two Years.

It has been roughly two years since the sweeping reforms to the US patent law were instituted under the American Invents Act.  Chicago-based trial attorney Matt Satchwell will discuss the most important lessons, strategy, and practice tips that attorneys have learned during the first two years of post-grant challenges under the AIA.

2. Evolving Landscape of Strategic U.S. Trade Secret Litigation

The United States is one of the most important battlegrounds for the protection of trade secrets.  Due to changes in patent law, and increased globalization of manufacturing, trade secret protection is increasingly important to global companies, both inside and outside the United States.  The legal landscape of trade secret cases in the United States is changing quickly, and gives new tools to companies to enforce trade secret rights, even when the secrets were not stolen or even used within the United States’ borders.  Global companies must be aware of both the offensive, and defensive, issues involving trade secret cases in the U.S.  Chicago-based IP trial attorney Paul Steadman is recognized as an expert in trade secret litigation and will discuss these changes to trade secret litigation.
